This meeting will be held in-person and electronically in accordance with section 238 (3.3) of the Municipal Act, 2001 as amended and section 16.6.24 of the City of Woodstock Procedure by-law. The meeting will be livestreamed to the City’s YouTube channel and a recording of this meeting will also be posted on the City website following the meeting.


Closed session commences at 12:45 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Board Room for the consideration of:

  • a proposed acquisition of land; and
  • a proposed disposition of land

Recommendation:
That Woodstock City Council receive the report regarding the 2023 Accessibility Conference as information.

The following resolutions have been prepared to facilitate Council's perusal of the various matters and are suggested for consideration

Recommendation:
That Woodstock City Council approve in principle the revised future aquatic plan;


And further that Woodstock City Council approves in principle the new location of the 2023 splash pad build to half of the upper complex soccer field and directs staff to undertake stakeholder consultation for this location and report back to Council with the results;


And further that Woodstock City Council approves the removal of 2025 Capital plan AQ00023 Outdoor Pool Design & Build of $5,000,000.

Recommendation:
That Woodstock City Council approve $226,915 for a new liner for Lions Pool;


And further that $200,000 from AQ00023 Outdoor Pool Design and Build be moved to AQU0025 Lions Pool Liner Repair with the remaining $16,915 coming from the reserves for capital projects;


And further that the liner replacement be sole sourced to RECA Vinyl Work Inc company for $226,915.


OR


That Woodstock City Council approves the closing of Lions Pool for 2023 in order to do a full project costing and construction as a single redevelopment project with the timeline of reopening in 2024.

Recommendation:
That Woodstock City Council adopt the recommended updates to Para-transportation Policy and Procedures (A002) and direct staff to publish the updated version to the City’s website by June 9th, 2023.

Recommendation:
That Woodstock City Council direct the Chief Administrative Officer to manage the recruitment process with the best use of staff resources.


OR


That Woodstock City Council direct the CAO to manage the recruitment process with the best use of staff resources and further that Council appoint Councillor(s) _____________ to participate in the interview process.
